Minor Happenings

I updated the site. Random facts can now be commented on without making an account. You just need to know basic math.

The front page has a new design that I really like.

I installed IE8. Anger ensues. According to microsoft, 'When a web site says that it supports modern web standards, Internet Explorer 8 respects that and displays the site using its most standards compliant mechanism. In the majority of cases, this works out just fine. However, every once in a while, a page that says 'display me using modern standards' really means 'display me like Internet Explorer 7 used to display modern standards pages'.

In 'most cases' it falls flat on it's face. You're better off just keeping the older one on at all times. Here's how I see it: While IE6-7 displays incorrectly, we had small loopholes and hacks to make up for it. With IE8, microsoft filled the holes, so now it only displays incorrectly.

At least I know I have to totally redesign my site before more people get IE8
